11th Hour Theatre Company

11th Hour has emerged as Philadelphia’s premier boutique musical theatre company. Our work focuses on presenting intimate, character-driven stories rather than flashy, budget-busting spectacles. Our hope is that these stories prove the relevance of musical theatre in the contemporary world, engaging audiences and inspiring the next generation of musical theatre artists for years to come.
We produce a broad spectrum of musicals that fill a niche in the diverse Philadelphia theatre landscape: musicals that spark the creativity of our artists and the imaginations of our audience. In the 2014-2015 season, we produced our first world premiere, Michael Ogborn’s Field Hockey Hot, which was a smashing success, and motivated us to create one of the first original cast albums to come out of Philadelphia in years. Over the past eleven seasons, we have produced seventeen full-scale musicals, nine of which were Philadelphia premieres. Our hugely popular Next Step Concert Series is a staged-reading series that showcases musicals seldom seen in Philadelphia. In addition to Field Hockey Hot, the company has contributed to the development of several new musicals beginning with Angst, a ten-minute musical that premiered in the Spark Festival of 2005. We produced the American premiere of Austentatious that went on to success at the New York Musical Theatre Festival; and a 29-hour reading of Fantasy Football, the Musical? before its production at New York University. Both Austentatious and Fantasy Football have since been published and are now professionally licensed. In the fall of 2014, we partnered with University of the Arts to workshop Persephone Unplugged, a new twist on the classic Greek myth.
11th Hour’s devotion to strong narratives and virtuosic music has earned a generous amount of critical acclaim. Philadelphia Magazine critic David Fox hailed the company as “the most significant force for new musical theatre in the city.” Theatre critic Howard Shapiro has described 11th Hour as “an inventive, bold and thoughtful producer that offers something special.” Mark Cofta celebrated our recent production of See What I Wanna See as showcasing our “great commitment to rich musical performance and dynamic design and staging.” The world premiere of Field Hockey Hot was hailed as “100 minutes of sublime lunacy in music that no theatergoer can afford to miss” (City Paper). The audience response to our Next Step Concert Series has been remarkable, with numerous audience members regularly attending talkbacks after each performance to engage in discussion about new and seldom seen musicals.

The Best and Worst Cities to Be a Dog

A pair of Great Danes strutting through Soho. Photo: Andres Kudacki

If you're a human the biggest draws to a city may include good jobs, accessible culture, and 24-hour bodegas. If you're a dog you might be more interested in the number of fire hydrants and patches of grass. But these days, cities are treating dogs like luxury-condo residents, only instead of wellness rooms and ping pong tables they've got surf parks and members only clubs. In this way, cities are mirroring the priorities of urban dog owners, who are spending $23 billion on pet food (including vegan and gluten free varieties) and $15 billion on medical care (which in some cases means medicinal cannabis). New York dogs are no legally allowed to enjoy outdoor cafes and, JFK is about to open massive pet terminal. In the past five years, cities across the country have increased the number of off leash dog parks by 20 percent. And there are now canine retirement homes in Tokyo. Which is not to say there are not pleanty of places like Yulin, China, which host an annual dog meat festival where a dog might wish for some urban enlightenment.

17 May 2016, World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD 2016)

The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.
17 May marks the anniversary of the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention and the creation of the International Telecommunication Union.

World Telecommunication Day

World Telecommunication Day has been celebrated annually on 17 May since 1969, marking the founding of ITU and the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865. It was instituted by the Plenipotentiary Conference in Malaga-Torremolinos in 1973.

World Information Society Day

In November 2005, the World Summit on the Information Society called upon the UN General Assembly to declare 17 May as World Information Society Day to focus on the importance of ICT and the wide range of issues related to the Information Society raised by WSIS. The General Assembly adopted a resolution (A/RES/60/252) in March 2006 stipulating that World Information Society Day shall be celebrated every year on 17 May.

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day

In November 2006, the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Antalya, Turkey, decided to celebrate both events on 17 May as World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. The updated Resolution 68 invites Member States and Sector Members to celebrate the day annually by organizing appropriate national programmes with a view to:

AAEP Foundation

The AAEP Foundation was founded in 1994 as a 501(c)3 organization to serve as the charitable arm of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). The Foundation was established by an estate gift from Mrs. Halina Leonard of Chino, Calif., who passed away in 1993. She left her entire estate to charities that supported the welfare of horses and animals. Thanks to her friendship with AAEP member Wes Williams, DVM, she made an initial gift to the AAEP in 1994, which was the impetus for the formation of the AAEP Foundation. As the trusted caretaker of her horses, Dr. Williams was able to advise Mrs. Leonard prior to her death to donate to organizations like the AAEP. Dr. Williams, an AAEP member since 1986 and now the owner of Lone Star Park Equine Hospital in Grand Prairie, Texas, feels honored to have played a role in opening the door for the Foundation’s original estate gift. It all started while he was practicing in Southern California during the late 1980s. While providing care for Mrs. Leonard’s horses, he developed a strong friendship with this gracious client, which allowed him to help direct her estate giving to organizations dedicated to the welfare of animals.

How To Protect Your Car From Rodents

Rats! You can buy the most reliable car on Earth and still find convoluted electrical gremlins, fluid leaks, and even outright failure when rodents take up residence and begin chewing on wiring, hoses, plastic, and other critical car parts. But we’ve found a deterrent for these four-legged terrorists.
Rodent-inflicted damage is an age-old problem that some observers say is increasing as automakers use more plant-based biodegradable materials to reduce waste. It turns out that rodents sharpening their teeth and feasting on cars is more prevalent than you might think. We uncovered various technical service bulletins from Ford, GM, Honda, Toyota, and Subaru instructing their technicians how to remedy chewed wiring harnesses. So many people have been looking for solutions that the topic was trending on Reddit recently.

Free Bit Coin

Life is fun, exciting and and adventure. This is our family motto. In following this MOTTO we have entered into the world of crypto currency. This is electronic currency that we obtain by either purchasing it (not recommended) or by visiting websites around the world to gather it. We will be sharing where we get our wallets (like a bank) to gather our electronic coins. We will also be sharing where we gather these coins. You will find rewards but it will not happen over night. I have my laptop set up in my family room where I can spend time with my wife while I click here an there to gather the coins.

STEP 1. You will need a wallet. I have three recommendations and a short note as to why I have chosen the ones that I use.
A. COINBASE - I can sell bitcoin on this site and then send the cash to my bank account. One can also purchase bitcoin on this same system. There is a fee for all transactions when is modest. At this time there is no cost to send Bitcoins to COINBASE. Click HERE to get a COINBASE wallet.  If you go to the bottom of the menu online you will see exchange. This is a great place to buy bit coins at a low price and sell them at a high price just like the stock market!

A second wallet I would like to recommend is Xapo. When you have an account here you will be able to make immediate deposits of your bitcoin earnings. I like this wallet very much for some of the sites I visit to collect coin. Click HERE to get an Xapo Wallet

Here are a number of great places to start to gather Bitcoins (actually you will be collecting bits. 1,000,000,000 bits equals 1 bit coin.

Step 2. Start collecting coin. We will be adding locations to gather coins as we find one that seem to be reliable.

Word of caution: If and when you come across a system promising to increase your bit coins by large percentages or offering to double your coins in just a few days or hours stay away from them. Most of them if not all of them are scams. Some say they are registered with their governments to try and make them seem legitamate, stay away from them. If you deposit coins anywhere other than wallets mentioned here expect to loose your coin and money! Note - I am trying one site that offers to double my coins in a very short time. I will post a banner for the site if all seems to be working okay.

Just visit us each day and you can then just click on the banners to visit these pages. My preference of a browser is to use Opera. I like using Firefox on my laptop. I have been using this site for some time. Real easy to use and once can use it every hour. It will allow you to gamble your winnings and it will also allow you to send more bitcoins to it to try and win more. My recommendation is not to be greedy. I have lost a good portion a few times. I like to be generous and I share the 90% of my commissions with you when you use this site. The more you use it the larger the portions of my commissions you will receive!

This is a fun game that can have great rewards. Just collect the coins every few minutes. Might be a good one to use while watching your favorite sports program on television. Collected over 1000 Satashi in less than an hour. Just started using it today. I highly recommend this site!

Moon Bitcoin will allow you to use Xapo to collect your bit coins without waiting for them. Highly recommended. Also if  you use Moon Bitcoin several times eacy day to collect you can get a bonus of 100% plus.

This site is a bit goofy at times but the individul(s) who operate this site always seem to get it fixed very quickly. I highly recommend it!

Donald is very generous! I have received over 337,641 Satoshi in just  a few weeks. Be sure to let Donalds nephews help you out, although it is a small about it does help. To take full advantage you need to be sure to collect your coins every couple of hours. Be sure to collect the coins on the compaigns.

I have just started using this site in the middle of January 2016. Thus far I have received .00010400 btc. I try to use this site at least once an hour. If you are so inclined you can also wager your earnings here to build them up. I use the following method (does not always work) I bid the minimum and then increase it by 4x's on each play. I limit myself to 3 plays and hour and this usually works out in a winning position.

Tiny Vermont brings food industry to its knees on GMO labels

It was May 8, 2014, when the state of Vermont—knowingly or not—launched the war with the American food industry that spilled onto the floor of the U.S. Senate yesterday.
Sitting behind an antique desk brought onto the steps of the statehouse in Montpelier for the occasion, Gov. Peter Shumlin signed a bill that would make Vermont the first state to require the labeling of genetically modified organisms, or GMOs. Vermont is a heavily agricultural state that prides itself on a reputation for purity: green mountains, real maple syrup, small dairy farms. And though bioengineered foods don’t pose any documented health risk, its legislature had decided, by a large majority, to stand firmly on the side of caution.

Indy Great Pyrenees Rescue

Indy Great Pyrenees Rescue was founded in 2002 to help rehome abandoned Great Pyrenees and Great Pyrenees mixes from owners who could no longer keep them and from those in animal shelters.  They primarily rescue dogs from Indiana, however they do consider dogs in need from Ohio and Kentucky, due to lack of active Great Pyrenees rescues in those states.  They received a not for profit designation in 2006.  Since their inception, we have rehomed over 1200 dogs in need. If you have a love for the Great Pyrenees then you may want to consider making a donation. They would really appreciate it.

Since its creation nearly a decade ago, First 5 California has brought these critical services to millions of parents, caregivers and children ages 0 to 5, and we’re striving to reach thousands more every day.
First 5 California distributes funds to local communities through the state’s 58 individual counties, all of which have created their own local First 5 County Commissions. Eighty percent of the annual revenues are allocated to the 58 County Commissions, while the remaining 20 percent fund the state’s overall guiding programs and administrative costs. The amount of funding provided to each First 5 County Commission is based upon the area’s birth rate. Funds are used to address the local needs of communities statewide.
