Our main effort is the creation of a large-scale, multidisciplinary MS Repository of blood samples and data from
people with MS and matched controls. We make these samples available to researchers investigating the causes of
MS and other demyelinating diseases. In exchange for access to the repository, researchers agree to return the
data they generate from the samples so that results from disparate experiments can be combined.
We are also developing a Cure Map to establish and document what is known and what is not known about the causes
of MS. From the Cure Map, Accelerated Cure Project will facilitate the research most likely to reveal the causes
of MS in the shortest time through use of our MS Repository.
Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, is a chronic demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system affecting over 400,000
people in the US and 2 million individuals worldwide. MS often results in severe disability including the inability
to walk, impaired vision or in some cases blindness, cognitive dysfunction, bladder and bowel problems, extreme
fatigue and other serious symptoms. Unfortunately, no one knows what causes Multiple Sclerosis, there is no known
cure for the disease, and treatments are modest at best.

One of the programs provided is IHear - Click here
IHear is an innovative program designed to bring listening and spoken language therapy services to families and children regardless of where they live or go to school. For many parents of children with hearing loss, these specialized therapy services are often not accessible due to distance or lack of qualified professionals in their community. IHear bridges the sound barrier to link families and therapists for live, interactive therapy sessions. Therapists identify practical activities to use at home to continue the learning process.
IHear services are provided through a high quality audio-visual connection and take place at designated times convenient to each child. The program is easy to access and use. High-speed DSL or broadband internet connections are required. Families owning a suitable computer will receive software and support necessary to establish tele-conference links. If no computer is available, families may elect to participate in our "Computer Loaner Club."

To educate the public about exotic animals and to advocate for legislation to protect them. To provide sanctuary for exotic animals who have suffered from gross mistreatment and neglect so they can regain their physical and mental health and live out their lives in dignity.
The Roar Foundation, founded in 1983 by Tippi Hedren, exists solely to support the abandoned exotic felines at Shambala Preserve. Our mission is to educate the public about the dangers of private ownership of exotic animals. Huge numbers of dangerous animals are bred and sold in the United States for illegal purposes. Private ownership presents a grave danger to the public and is cruel and unfair. More stringent legislation is needed to prohibit breeding and selling. We are actively involved on federal as well as state levels.
Shambala is home to over 50 big cats: lions, tigers, cougars, black and spotted leopards, servals, bobcats, and Asian leopard cats, who live out their lives at Shambala. All have come to the Preserve after confiscation by authorities such as California Fish and Game, the United States Department of Agriculture, the ASCPA, and various Humane Societies. They are from roadside zoos and private citizens who realize that they have purchased an animal that they can no longer handle. The exotic cat trade is a huge business, just under illegal drugs, according to U.S. Fish and Wildlife.

The impressive brick building has stood in the center of Stockton’s lush Victory Park for 82 years, but it’s what’s on the inside that makes it worth visiting. On display in the museum’s fine art galleries are dozens of paintings by renowned 19th- and early 20th-century American and European artists, including Jean Béraud, Rosa Bonheur, William Bouguereau, Jean-Léon Gérôme, George Inness and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Of particular note are breathtaking panoramas of Yosemite Valley (including one once loaned to the White House) by American painter Albert Bierstadt. Father's Forum was started in 1986 with the belief that our lives as dads could be more meaningful, vital, interesting and enjoyable if we were prepared to become parents. This means being actively involved in the birth process and learning about the transition to parenthood. This forum brings dads together to explore the challenging and difficult first year of parenthood makes a huge difference about how we experience fatherhood. Themes about understanding our relationship with our own father and appreciating the value of male friendships have often been the focus of the groups. Fathers' Forum has been able to educate men on how to develop friendships with other dads and be able to discuss feelings about parenting and fatherhood.
National Center for Fathering
(Fathers.com) is a nonprofit educational organization that provides research-based training and resources so that
men are equipped to address their children’s needs. Our goal is to reverse the cultural trend toward fatherlessness
by helping every dad learn how to be a father. At Fathers.com, we believe every child needs a dad they can count
on. The research is clear: children thrive when they have an involved father—someone who loves them, knows them,
guides them, and helps them achieve their destiny. We inspire and equip men to be the involved fathers, grandfathers
and father figures their children need. Changed lives. That's what people discover after engaging with FamilyLife–their
lives and marriages are changed dramatically for the better.
